Humanities

(Three Year Duration)

10+2 in any stream with five subjects including English shall be eligible to join B.A. course opting following subjects/combination.

  1. Compulsory Subjects :Every student will have to study the following subjects:-
    1. English
    2. Hindi
    3. Environmental Studies (Qualifying paper)
    4. Computer Awareness (Qualifying Paper for non-computer subject students)
  2. Optional Subjects : A candidate may take least any two optional subjects from the following groups selecting only one subject from a given group
    • Group-I (Elective) : Sanskrit, Punjabi, Computer Science
    • Group-II :Mathematics, Health and Physical Education,
    • Group-III :Political Science.
    • Group-IV :Economics
    • Group-V :History

Notes

  1. Language offered as compulsory subject as elective subject. shall not be offered
  2. The foreign and non-Hindi speaking students will offer Additional English in lieu of Hindi/Sanskrit/Punjabi (Compulsory)

Science

(Three Year Duration)

These courses are meant for students having five subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English at +2 level of Board of School Education, Haryana and any other equivalent examination recognised by Academic Council of Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra.

OR

Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2 Standard) of the Board of School Education, Haryana; or

any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with at least 40% marks in aggregate in Science

Group along with Biology, physics, chemistry and mathematics as additional subject. Passed with five subjects including English for general category and 38% for SC/ST/Differently abled shall be eligible to join B.Sc. Non-Medical opting the following combinations.

  1. Physics
  2. Mathematics
  3. Chemistry

Along with these candidate is required to offer following compulsory subjects:

  1. English for I year students
  2. Hindi/Punjabi/Sanskrit (any one) for II year students
  3. Environmental Studies (Qualifying papers during the degree)

(Three Year Duration)

These courses are meant for students having four subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English at +2 level of Board of School Education, Haryana and any other equivalent examination recognized by Academic Council of Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra.
Eligibility for Admission to the First Sem. of the Course
Passed with five subjects including English for general category and 38% for SC/ST/Differently abled shall be eligible to join B.Sc. (Non-Medical) with Computer Science opting the following combinations.
1. Physics
2. Mathematics
3. Computer Science
Along with these candidate is required to offer following compulsory subjects:
1. English for First year students.
2. Hindi/Punjabi/Sanskrit (any one) for Second year students.
3. Environmental Studies (Qualifying papers during the degree)

Commerce

(Three Year Duration)

Eligibility Criteria for Semester I

A candidate who has passed one of the following examinations with English as one of the subjects shall be eligible to join the First Semester of the programme:

(a) Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2 Standard) of the Board of School Education,

Haryana; or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto with at least 40% marks in

aggregate in the Commerce Group or 50% marks in aggregate in the Non-Commerce Groups

(Humanities & Science).

OR

(b) B.Com. Part-I Examination under old scheme of Kurukshetra University; or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto:

  • The ITI pass outs (with English qualified as additional subject at 10+2 level) are also eligible for seeking

admission in Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) examination running under Choice Based Credit system.

 

Along with optional papers in any degree programme from commerce stream the candidate is required to offer following compulsory subjects:

  1. Environmental Studies (Qualifying papers during the degree)
  2. Computer Awareness for non computer subject combinations (Qualify papers during the degree
